Six former West Virginia Mountaineers will participate in the University’s pro day in front of NFL scouts, WVU announced this week. The pro day will begin Thursday morning and will include defensive lineman Darius Stills, linebacker Tony Fields II, receiver T.J. Simmons, offensive linemen Chase Behrndt and Michael Brown and long snapper Kyle Poland.

Stills and Fields both received invitations to this year’s NFL combine, but there is no in-person combine due to the pandemic. WVU coach Neal Brown, Stills, Fields, Simmons and Michael Brown will speak to the media following the event.

Stills, a former standout at Fairmont Senior High and the 2020 Big 12 Defensive Lineman of the Year, finished the 2020 season with 25 total tackles with 7.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks and an interception. He was recognized as a consensus All-American, WVU’s first since 2006.

Fields transferred to WVU prior to this season after three seasons as a starter at Arizona. He led the Mountaineers with 88 total tackles and also had four tackles for loss, one sack and one interception. Fields participated in the Reeses Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama earlier this year.

Simmons made 23 receptions for 401 yards and four touchdowns across eight games this season. Behrndt started nine games at center and Brown started six games at guard. Poland was the team’s long snapper all season.
