Source: WVU to Officially Host 5-Star Jasper Johnson

WVU basketball recruit Jasper Johnson

West Virginia basketball will host 2025 five-star CG Jasper Johnson for an official visit on Sept. 23, a source tells WV Sports Now.

Johnson will be in town for the WVU football game against Texas Tech.

Johnson is currently the No. 7 prospect in the country. The Kentucky native will play at Link Academy (Mo.) for this upcoming season.

Johnson (6-foot-4) has received offers from Alabama, Arizona State, Arkansas, Auburn, Baylor, Cal, Cal State Bakersfield, Cincinnati, Eastern Kentucky, Florida State, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville, LSU, Memphis, Missouri, Ohio, Ohio State, Radford, Texas A&M, West Virginia and others.

WVU’s staff offered Johnson in February and made direct contact with the 2025 recruit in June.
