Speedy Cornerback Keyshawn Robinson | WVU Football All 105

One of 11 cornerbacks on the Mountaineers’ roster, Keyshawn Robinson should get a boost in the battle for a starting role because he’s one of just three of those cornerbacks to have spent more than one season in defensive coordinator Zac Alley’s system. While he wasn’t able to break into the starting lineup in a dismal secondary last season, another year of experience should help the 5-foot-11, 193 pound cornerback carve out a bigger role.
A three-star recruit out of West Virginia’s Jefferson High School, Robinson won state championships in track in a variety of sprints, including the 100-meter, 200-meter, and their corresponding relays. His times in the events wouldn’t win him any scholarships for track, but that kind of straight-line speed will help him stick with all but the fastest college receivers. There’s more to playing cornerback than speed, but with two seasons of college snaps under his belt, Robinson should have a chance to combine his natural skill with savvy.

Last Year: Robinson played 12 games as a sophomore, appearing as a reserve and on special teams.
Stats: 13 tackles (nine solo).
Post-Camp Outlook: While Robinson wasn’t able to get much playing time in a bad secondary last season, another year of experience should help him. The Mountaineers have plenty of question marks in the unit once again in 2026.
Projected Role: Expect Robinson to battle for a starting spot this season. If he doesn’t win one outright, he should still get plenty of playing time.
Accolades, Highlights: A state champion in multiple track events in high school, Robinson’s speed will give him an advantage on the gridiron.
