A WVU product will now get his chance to experience the “big leagues” in Major League Baseball. Due to an injury, the St. Louis Cardinals are adding to former Mountaineer Victor Scott II to their roster.

Cardinals center fielder Dylan Carlson will open the season on the injured list due to suffering a sprained AC joint in left shoulder, according to Bob Nightengale of USA Today’s report about the Scott news.

Scott is coming off a 2023 MiLB season in which he was named an All-Star and earned a Gold Glove while becoming a star for the Springfield Cardinals.
