Twitter Reaction: Same Old Mountaineers After WVU Basketball’s Loss to Oklahoma State?

Another conference loss. More poor play. Mentally unraveling at the end of games. These are all things happening to the West Virginia basketball team right now and creating a cloud of “here we go again” despite this being a new group this season.

As expected, Twitter was not too kind to the Mountaineers following their 67-60 loss to Oklahoma State on Monday night.

WVU Basketball does not know how to win tough games. They just want to make it tough on themselves with stupid fouls, sloppy turnovers, and failure to do what you’re suppose to do. The talent is there. The fight is there. They just can’t get out of their own way.

This team is definitely better than last year's WVU basketball team. Unfortunately, the league is better as well. The results may be the same. WVU fans should accept that now.

This is why I don’t get excited about #WVU basketball anymore. I love Huggins and what he means to the State and his players, but the seasons get so predictable. I get it’s January, but we already look outmatched 2 games into the conference.

We were lied to about this #WVU team. They have a few kinda talented players. Not much team play. Outside of Matthews I see no basketball IQ. A lot of terrible mistakes all over the place.
