EA Sports’ College Football 25 video game is set to release worldwide on Friday, July 19. During Big 12 football media days, WVU quarterback Garrett Greene and his other teammates were able to get a sneak peak of the game and had their reactions.

“Great. Took me right back to childhood. I’m really looking forward to playing it next week,” Greene said.

“I love it. I’ll be up all day next Tuesday running around with Garrett Greene,” WVU safety Aubrey Burks added.

WVU OL Wyatt Milum and DE Sean Martin also reacted to the video game.

EA Sports has teased the return of the beloved video game for the last few years. EA hasn’t released a college football video game since NCAA Football 14, which was released in July 2013. EA Sports has been releasing teasers and previews to each mode in the game. A lot has changed in the college athletics landscape since 2013, like the transfer portal, conference realignment and NIL.

Name, Image and Likeness will be a factor in the game as student-athletes have the opportunity to market themselves in the game. NIL has also been a hurdle for EA as the players have gone back-and-forth on what they want for being in the game. Pete Nakos reported that players can now opt-in to appear in the game. Student-athletes that opt-in are expected to receive $600 and a copy of the video game.
