Watch: WVU Scores Opening Drive Touchdown Against Houston
To open up the game in the best way possible for WVU, the offense marched down the field and scored a rare opening drive touchdown against Houston.
The Mountaineers set the tone early with an opening drive touchdown. Scotty Fox, Diore Hubbard and Clay Ash combined to run for 57 yards as they marched West Virginia down the field with ease.
Fox ran six yards in the end zone to cap off the successful possession.

Rodney Gallagher also caught a pair of passes for 14 yards. WVU’s scoring drive went 75 yards and took 4:29 off the clock.
With about 10 minutes left in the first quarter, West Virginia took an early 7-0 lead on the road.
