Wendell Smallwood’s big game helped the Eagles defeat the Rams 30-23. Going into this game, the Rams were 11-2 with the best record in the NFL. Smallwood rushed the ball 10 times for 48 yards and 2 touchdowns. He averaged 4.8 yards per carry and added 2 receptions for 9 yards. Eagles Offensive Coordinator gave Smallwood praise saying, “Wendell is a true pro and he’s ready when his number’s called.” The Eagles record is now 7-7 and they have been finding success through Smallwood. The Eagles are 3-0 when Smallwood runs for at least 48 yards and 4-1 when he gets at least 8 carries. He is putting together the best season of his young NFL career. He now has 74 carries for 308 yards averaging 4.2 yards per carry. He’s also caught 20 receptions for 182 yards averaging 9.1 yards per reception. He’s had 5 total touchdowns this season with 3 rushing and 2 passing.
