Maryland transfer freshman Jamie Kaiser Jr. is in the transfer portal and has recently heard from West Virginia, he tells Portal Updates. Kaiser was originally recruited by Bob Huggins’ staff in high school two years ago.

Kaiser has also heard from Boston College, Butler, Charleston, Columbia, Davidson, DePaul, George Washington, Marshall, Mississippi State, Ohio, Old Dominion, Oregon State, Penn, Pitt, Richmond, Saint Bonaventure, Vanderbilt and Virginia Tech.

During his freshman year at Maryland, Kaiser appeared in 33 games for the Terrapins. Kaiser averaged 4.4 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 19.5 minutes of play. The 6-foot-6 wing shot 27% from the field, 27% from three and 78% from the free throw line. Kaiser scored 14 points against Nebraska, shooting 4-of-5 from three.

Kaiser, a four-star recruit out of high school, was offered by West Virginia in June 2022. Kaiser included WVU in his top list before choosing Maryland.

WVU has landed one transfer commitment in Tucker DeVries so far this offseason losing just Seth Wilson (G) and Kerr Kriisa (G) so far. The Mountaineers also plan on hosting Conor Enright (G – Drake) and Toby Okani (F – UIC) for visits this month.
