West Virginia Football Extends Offer to 2024 3-Star Edge Javon Hammonds Jr.

West Virginia’s last practice before the holiday weekend led to the Mountaineers send an offer to a three-star Edge rusher from Ohio.
Javon Hammonds Jr. announced his offer from West Virginia Thursday night. Hammonds, who is listed at 6-foot-5 and 230 pounds, is a member of the 2024 recruiting class. He attends Wayne High School in Dayton, Ohio.

WVU is now joining the mix with several other major programs, including one arch rival, for Hammonds. Just five days ago, Pitt extended an offer of their own to the Edge rusher.
Prior to this week, Hammonds also visited WVU towards the end of January.
