**Neal Brown and co. are getting in early on 2022 defensive back Christian LeBrun from New Jersey.

LeBrun (6-foot-1, 195 lbs.) is a three-star safety from Jersey City. Along with WVU, he also picked up an offer from Nebraska today to go with offers from Syracuse, Boston College, Pitt, Temple and Rutgers.

**The Mountaineers have made the top five for one of the state’s top recruits, defensive end Zeiqui Lawton.

Lawton (6-foot-3, 240 lbs.) is a three-star defensive end from South Charleston and is the third-ranked prospect in West Virginia according to 247Sports and rivals. Also in Lawton’s top five are Boise State, Cincinnati, Oregon and Illinois. West Virginia has been in on Lawton for a while, offering him in June of 2018 and brining him to Morgantown last April.
