WVSN Notebook 4/16: WVU Basketball Lands Big Time Commit

WVU made the top three of 2024 three-star tight end recruit Gavin Grover just a week ago, but did not land his commitment.

West Virginia’s basketball staff has hit the transfer portal once again this spring, securing three commitments from Jesse Edwards (Syracuse), Kerr Kriisa (Arizona) and Omar Silverio (Manhattan) in the last month. Pair those three with MAAC Preseason Player of the Year Jose Perez, who sat out this past season, and WVU has a core of transfer portal recruits for next season.

Syracuse transfer Jesse Edwards announced on Sunday that he will be committing to play at West Virginia for his final year of eligibility, per NBA Draft analyst Jonathan Givony. Edwards chose WVU over Kansas and Gonzaga, who he had in his final three schools.
Edwards (6-foot-11) took one visit during his week-long recruitment, heading to Morgantown over the weekend.

Listed at 6-foot and 175 pounds, West Virginia native Class of 2024 WR/CB recruit Keyshawn Robinson announces he is committing to WVU football.

A class of 2025 LB/RB recruit from Cincinnati, Ohio was in Morgantown to attend WVU practice on Saturday. He’s listed at 6-foot and 205 pounds.
