The West Virginia Sports Now Daily Notebook is a daily recap of news concerning West Virginia Football and Basketball.

Update (5:05 p.m.) –

**West Virginia football offered 2023 offensive tackle Juan Minaya (6-foot-6, 315-pounds) from Paramus Catholic in Paramus, New Jersey. Minaya has six total offers from Boston College, Connecticut, Miami, Ole Miss, Pittsburgh, West Virginia and Penn State.

Update (4:27 p.m.) –

**West Virginia offered 2023 running back Jordan Louie (6-foot, 210-pounds) from Meadowcreek High School in Norcross, Georgia according to Rival’s Trent Smallwood. West Virginia is Louie’s seventh offer following Arkansas, Arkansas State, Georgia State, Georgia Tech, Louisville and Tennessee State.

Update (4:00 p.m.) –

**West Virginia offered 2024 6-foot-4, 208-pounds linebacker Wendell Gregory from Marietta, Georgia. West Virginia is Gregory’s seventh offer following Arkansas State, Louisville, Mississippi State, Tennessee and Vanderbilt.

Update (2:47 p.m.) –

**West Virginia offered four-star offensive lineman Barry Walker (6-foot-6, 260-pounds). Walker is the No. 9 rated offensive tackle for the class of 2024 according to Rivals. In addition to West Virginia, he’s received offers from Arkansas, Auburn, Cincinnati, Coastal Carolina, Florida Sate, Georgia Southern, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Liberty, Louisville, Michigan State, Ole Miss, South Alabama and South Carolina.

Update (1:25 p.m.) –

**West Virginia has offered JUCO corner back Jaylon Shelton (6-foot-1, 185-pounds) from Tyler Junior College. He is originally from West Rusk High School in New London, Texas.

Update (11:40 a.m.) –

**West Virginia has offered 2025 athlete Desmond Straughton (5-foot-11, 175-pounds) from Roseville, Michigan. West Virginia is just his fifth offer, but his third power-five offer after Indiana and Kentucky. Straughton has also been offered by Akron, Arkansas Pine-Bluff, Bowling Green and Eastern Kentucky.

Update (11:16 a.m.) –

**West Virginia has offered 2025 safety Jared Porter (5-foot-9, 170 pounds). Porter is from Central Dauphin East High School in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
