Welcome to WVSN Daily Notebook. This post will be updated with news throughout the day, so be sure to check back often to stay on top of everything that’s going on with WVU sports and West Virginia high school football.
UPDATE – 7 a.m.
Some WVU recruiting news to pass along:
Class of 2022 offensive tackle Miguel Cedeno — a standout for Florida’s American Heritage High — has a new offer from the Mountaineers.

Also it appears Martinsburg High standout running back Naieem Kearney has received at the very least a preferred walk-on offer from the Mountaineers. Kearny tweeted Thursday that he is “thankful for an opportunity to play for WVU” without specific mention of a scholarship offer. Kearney and the four-time defending Class AAA state champion Bulldogs take on No. 5 Bridgeport in the Class AAA state quarterfinals on Friday evening.
