WVU Baseball Falls in National Rankings After Splitting Opening Series
West Virginia baseball fell multiple spots in two national polls this week after splitting its season-opening series against Georgia State.
The Mountaineers (2-2) were ranked No. 23 in the D1Baseball.com Top 25 ranking and No. 27 in the NCBWA Top 30 poll. That is down from 14 and 21, respectively, in each outlets’ preseason rankings.
