WVU Baseball Giants Commitment From Division II POY
In building the next great WVU baseball team, Steve Sabins and his staff gained a recent commitment from a Division II pitcher.
Drew Becker, a right-handed pitcher out of Ashland University in Ohio, officially pledged his commitment on May 25th.
Becker, listed ay 6-foot-2 and 200 pounds, was named the 2026 Great Midwest Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Year as a sophomore. He appeared in 12 games with 11 starts in 2026, helping Ashland go 35-14 and earn the top seed in the Great Midwest Tournament.
Becker recorded a 7-5 record with a 2.93 ERA across 67.2 innings pitched while striking out 92 batters and walking only 18. His opponents hit only .200 against him.
