WVU Basketball 2025 Recruit Alier Maluk Earns 5-Star Rating by Rivals

on, one of the national recruiting websites, gave WVU 2025 recruit Alier Maluk a 5-star rating. Maluk was ranked No. 12 in the country for his class.

The Imani Christian forward was offered by West Virginia’s coaching staff on Aug. 2 and unofficially visited campus last Saturday.

“I went to coach Huggins’ office. We talked for a little while. He talked about former players, players in the NBA. He likes my motor,” Maluk told WV Sports Now. “The design, the layout of the practice facility. It looks like the NBA.”

Maluk (6-foot-10, 180 pounds) is currently entering his sophomore year at Imani Christian Academy in Pittsburgh. The highly touted prospect holds offers from Auburn, LSU, NC State, Pitt, Seton Hall, Texas A&M, West Virginia and others. Maluk told WV Sports Now that he plans on scheduling visits to Cincinnati and Michigan in the near future.

WVU’s coaching staff is also pursuing another 5-star in Trentyn Flowers from the class of 2024. Flowers unofficially visited West Virginia along with Maluk on Aug. 20.
