WVU Basketball Becoming Frequent Name for 2027 5-Star Center

WVU basketball is in the mix for another high-level player out of Bella Vista Prep, as five-star 2027 center Paul Osaruyi has been frequently mentioned when it comes to Mountaineer recruiting.

On3’s Joe Tipton predicted Osaruyi to be a Mountaineer in an article Saturday, citing WVU’s ties to Bella Vista Prep. WVU has four players who attended Bella Vista on the roster currently.

On 247Sports, WVU’s interest is listed as “warm,” the highest out of any of the other teams to offer Osaruyi.

His other offers include Arkansas, BYU, Cincinnati, Georgia Tech, Houston, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Mississippi State, North Carolina, Oklahoma State, Oregon, Rutgers, Syracuse, Texas, UCLA, USC, Utah, Virginia, Washington, Cal State Northridge, Arizona State and Kansas State.
