WVU Basketball Team Supports Best Virginia in TBT Regional Finals
CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The West Virginia men’s basketball team made the trip from Morgantown to Charleston to support Best Virginia in their TBT regional final against Bucketneers.
The players that were in attendance were Emmitt Matthews Jr., Kedrian Johnson, Erik Stevenson, Tre Mitchell, Josiah Harris, Jimmy Bell, Joe Toussaint, Kobe Johnson, Seth Wilson, James Okonkwo, Jamel King, Mohamed Wague and Patrick Suemnick. Former WVU forward Gabe Osabuohien was also in attendance on Wednesday.
Stevenson and Harris made the trip on Sunday night to watch Best Virginia’s first round matchup against No. 8 Virginia Dream.
Since Bob Huggins took over the head coaching position in 2007, he has always wanted a family culture within his program. Many of these players in attendance are new to the team and already are buying into the culture, getting to know many of the former players.
No. 1 Best Virginia and No. 2 Bucketneers are set to tip-off at 7 p.m. on ESPN3. The winner will head to Dayton, Ohio at a shot of $1 million.
