Based on the respect and recognition he’s been receiving all offseason, it’s no surprise Zach Frazier is officially on the watch list for Outland Trophy.

Frazier, a junior, is entering his fourth season as a Mountaineer and third as the starting center. He’s the clear leader of the WVU offensive line and is no stranger to being honored for his individual ability. He’s been placed on watch lists, preseason All-American teams and garnered praised throughout the entire offseason. Most recently, Frazier was included as a member of the Big 12 Preseason All-American team.

All in all, it’s safe to say Frazier is universally regarded as elite for his position. He was even on ESPN’s Way-Too-Early All-American Team for 2023 several months ago.

In 2022, the Fairmont, W.Va native helped guide a Mountaineer rushing attack that averaged 171.5 yards a game, earning him an All-Big 12 Conference selection. He allowed just one sack while also recording 51 knockdowns and 38 great blocks.

Many even place Zach Frazier as one of West Virginia’s players most likely to be drafted in the NFL next year.

The Outland Trophy is awarded to the best college football interior lineman in the country and voted on by the Football Writers Association of America.
