WVU DB Caleb Coleman announced on social media on Friday afternoon that he will be entering the transfer portal. Coleman spent two seasons at West Virginia.

Coleman released the following statement:

“First off I want to thank God for giving me the opportunity to play football at the collegiate level. Second I want to thank my family for helping me through this process. I would also like to thank coach Neal Brown, coach Mike [Joseph] and the rest of WVU football staff for developing me as a player. My relationship with those I met throughout my time at WVU will last forever and I appreciate each and every one involved. With that being said, I will be entering the transfer portal with three years of eligibility remaining.”

Coleman appeared in eight games over the span of two seasons. Coleman redshirted during the 2021 season and played in five games last year. The Phenix City, Al. native recorded four total tackles during his time at West Virginia.

Coleman leaves WVU with three years of eligibility remaining.

Other news in WVU’s football program on Friday: the team landed a transfer commitment from DL Tyrin Bradley, who comes from Abilene Christian. In 2022, Bradley posted 47 total tackles with 19 of them recorded as solo. Bradley has two more years of eligibility.
