West Virginia sophomore forward Jamel King intends to enter the transfer portal, he told On3 Sports. King spent two seasons with WVU.

“Thank you Mountaineer Nation for everything. These last two seasons has really been hard not playing and competing with the guys I call my brothers. I also want to thank WVU for the experience and opportunity that has been provided to me. With that being said I will be entering my name in the transfer portal,” King told On3. “Once a Mountaineer, always a Mountaineer.”

King appeared in eight games this season, averaging 1.5 points in 3.6 minutes. King arrived at West Virginia in 2021 as a 3-star prospect from Uniontown, Ala.
