WVU Football Continues JUCO Ties, Signs Three-Star CB Reynolds

WVU Football inked junior college cornerback Rayshawn Reynolds on Wednesday, Dec. 3 as part of their Early Signing Day class.

Reynolds’ signing comes after his commitment earlier in the week.

Although a sophomore academically during the 2025 season, Reynolds will have extended eligibility because of an NCAA ruling giving JUCO players a better chance at working their way onto Division I rosters. As such, he fits in more like a recruit than a transfer.

Listed at 6-foot-3 and 187 pounds, Reynolds picked off a pass and broke up 12 more while playing at Hutchinson Community College in Kansas this past season. 247Sports ranks Reynolds as the No. 15 transfer cornerback in this JUCO class, good for a three-star ranking at the classification.

JUCO players became a major recruiting angle for WVU Football last season after their head coach search meant they got a late start on fleshing out their roster, and the connections head coach Rich Rodriguez and his staff made during that time could give them a chance at finding diamonds in the rough moving forward.
