WVU Football Inks 3-Star Tight End Sam Hamilton
WVU football received a signing from three-star tight end Sam Hamilton on Early National Signing Day Wednesday.
Hamilton will sign during a ceremony at Moeller High School at 3:00 p.m. ET, he announced Tuesday.
“I will be signing with West Virginia University on December 4th at 3:00 p.m. at Moeller High School. All are welcome to attend. Go Mountaineers!,” revealed Hamilton on Tuesday.
Hamilton’s commitment came after spending time on campus for Junior Day. After being initially offered by Neal Brown’s staff, Hamilton was re-offered by West Virginia tight ends coach Michael Nysewander in January.
Nysewander then visited Hamilton at his home on Jan. 21 to schedule his official visit to Morgantown, which took place in June.
The 6-foot-4, 230-pound Archbishop Moeller product out of Cincinnati also held offers from Power Four programs like Duke, Houston, Kentucky and Washington among others. In 2024, he caught 22 passes for 272 yards and scored five touchdowns while also earning All-Conference honors. He’s a complete player with an elite blocking ability.
Hamilton is rated as a three-star recruit and the No. 44 tight end in his class by 247 Sports.
