The WVU football program always has their eyes on the future, and that was evident on Saturday morning with the season less than two weeks away.

A top tight end recruit set to be a member of the 2025 class announced he’s received an offer from the Mountaineers. Ryan Ghea is a four-star prospect out of Milton High School in Milton, Georgia.

Even though he still has two more years left of high school, Ghea has already garnered national recognition by most major outlets. He is ranked among the best 40 players in his class in Georgia and considered one of the top 20 tight ends in the country.

ESPN is the outlet the highest on Ghea right now, placing him as their number 6 tight end nationally.

To no surprise for a player so well regarded, Ghea has 35 offers to this point. In addition to the WVU football program, these offers include big brands like Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Miami (FL), Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Penn State among many others. He visited several of these programs throughout the summer.

Joining the mix for Ghea further shows West Virginia’s interest in incorporating pass catching tight ends into the offense and continuing to recruit heavily in Georgia.
