Going to watch WVU football at Milan Puskar Stadium is a religious experience for West Virginia fans, but it’s also not a cheap one.

In fact, going to see the Mountaineers play is one of the most expensive game experiences in the country. Based on the calculations by Oddspedia, a West Virginia game day has the third highest cost compared to other major programs in the country.

Factoring in tickets, parking, food, drinks, it costs about $264 for two people to attend a WVU game. The only two more expensive game days listed are Notre Dame and Oklahoma at $285 and $276, respectively.

This is the case due to the accumulation of the overall cost for fans despite West Virginia not claiming the top spot in cost in any of those categories individually.

So this then begs the question for WVU fans. Does it bother you knowing how expensive it is to to a game?

It’s safe to say, the recent seasons with more losing than winning make this an even bigger annoyance for Mountaineer Nation.
