WVU Football Grants Release to 2026 Pass Rusher Kamdon Gillespie

WVU Football recruit Kamdon Gillespie

Months after signing with WVU football, Kamdon Gillespie is moving on from the Mountaineers. Gillespie requested, and was granted, his release from his national letter of intent. WV Sports Now was able to confirm the initial report from Keenan Cummings.

After initially committing to Virginia Tech, Gillespie flipped to West Virginia in September and then signed with on December’s Early National Signing Day.

Gillespie is listed at 6-foot-3 and 245 pounds and hails from Mooresville, N.C.

He also held offers from Appalachian State, Boston College, Charlotte, East Carolina, Georgia Southern, Georgia Tech, Jacksonville State, JMU, Kentucky, Liberty, Old Dominion, Troy, USF among others.
