The latest offer sent by the WVU football program goes to a West Virginia native. Zah Jackson, who plays for Huntington High School in Huntington, W.Va, tweeted about receiving an offer from the Mountaineers Wednesday morning.

Extending an offer to Jackson, a three-star class of 2025 product, adds the possibility of seeing a homegrown in-state player in Morgantown and further shows the focus in the secondary. Jackson is mostly viewed as a defensive back, but is listed as simply an “athlete” by some recruiting outlets as well.

Listed at 5-foot-10 and 180 pounds, Jackson has officially been labeled the top West Virginia prospect in his class by 247 Sports. He’s ranked as the number 42 cornerback nationally.

Jackson still has two more high school season remaining, but also has offers from Akron, Appalachian State, Eastern Kentucky, JMU, Kent State, Liberty, Mississippi State and other West Virginia based schools like Marshall, University of Charleston and West Virginia State, although it appears like he will undoubtedly add many more over the next two years.
