WVU Football RB Commit Jett Walker Out of Texas Headed Back to West Virginia

The WVU football staff will welcome back a running back recruit they believe could be another underrated star in the making this coming weekend for his official visit.
Walker (6-foot-2, 210 pounds) announced his commitment in early April a few days after spending time around the staff and current team during spring practice.

He then told WVSN about what the WVU coaches have said to him and what helped convince him to lock in his commitment.
Without pulling any punches, Walker said he wants to be a Mountaineer because the of the staff above all else. Of course, the history of the West Virginia program and its standing in a Power Four conference helped, but he loved what he heard from Rodriguez and company.
“They were just super genuine and said I would have an impact at West Virginia early,” said Walker to hint he was also told he will be put in a position to get a chance to have an immediate impact as a freshman.

Walker, who has almost 20 Division I offers, received an offer from Rich Rodriguezโs WVU staff in early February. Before WVU won out, Houston tried to lock him up as well during his visit with the Cougars on March 21.
