WVU Football Wins Commitment of 2027 4-Star Edge Chris Wilson
For another big recruiting win on the day, the WVU football staff won the commitment of edge rusher Chris Wilson.
As first reported by On3 Sports and then confirmed, Wilson, a product of Yorktown High School in Indiana, picked West Virginia over offers from Auburn, Cincinnati and Purdue.
Rated as a four-star prospect and a Rivals top 300 player for the 2027 class, Wilson is listed at 6-foot-6 and 235 pounds.
Wilson’s commitment comes on the heels of his official visit over the weekend.
In 2025, Wilson had 25 tackles, seven tackles for a loss, four sacks and 11 quarterback hurries as a junior. He also forced a fumble, had an interception and deflected four passes.
