West Virginia now has a new wide receiver all locked in. Kent State transfer Ja’Shaun Poke becomes the fourth new Mountaineer to sign on with WVU on the day.

The football program announced that Poke signed his grant-in-aid to officially transfer to WVU. Poke, a veteran wide out with already four years of college football under his belt at Kent State, committed to transfer to WVU on Dec. 18.

He made 31 receptions for 362 yards, both single season highs for him, and a caught a touchdown during the 2022 season. Ball State joined WVU by sending an offer to Poke.

Even though he hasn’t officially signed yet, North Carolina State transfer Devin Carter will likely serve as the new WR1 after flipping from Penn State and committing to West Virginia earlier in the week.

West Virginia has also extended offers to transferring wide receivers Tyrese Chambers, Tre Harris and Jimmy Horn Jr. in hopes of replacing the experience and production they lost to either the NFL Draft or transfer portal.
