West Virginia’s lone quarterback commit in the 2023 recruiting class will sign with the Mountaineers this week.

Boyle tweeted on Monday that he will sign with WVU at noon on the National Early Signing Day period on Wednesday. He will be live at Charlotte Catholic High School when signing his national letter of intent.

Boyle visited the WVU campus a couple weeks ago ahead of being able to sign, but told WVSN he was always planning to keep his commitment to the Mountaineers no matter what was going on with the program.

Listed as a 3-star recruit by most national recruiting outlets, Boyle stands at 6’2 and weighs 180 pounds. He was previously committed to Charlotte, his hometown program in North Carolina, but pulled his commitment once he had one from WVU.

Boyle is a pro-style quarterback, the No. 62 rated quarterback and 30th rated player from North Carolina on 247Sports Composite. He is placed as the No. 50 rated quarterback and No. 29 player from the state of North Carolina on On3.

Rivals doesn’t include him in their quarterback rankings, but have him listed as the No. 29 player from the state of North Carolina. All three outlets have him as a three-star recruit.
