Watters finished this past season as a starter with a 3-7 record, 6.22 ERA and a K:BB ratio of 75 strikeouts to 44 walks. He was much better the year before when he was in the bullpen. He finished that season with a 4-1 record, 3.33 ERA, four saves and a K:BB ratio of 53 strikeouts to 32 walks.
He still has two seasons of eligibility left, meaning he could return to college if he doesn’t sign a contract with the Athletics.
