WVU Wrestlers Learn Seeds, Opponents for NCAA Championships

The NCAA included five WVU wrestlers in the upcoming 2025 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships set to take place on March 20-22 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.

West Virginia has five wrestlers competing in the tournament for the third consecutive season, including Jett Strickenberger (125 pounds), Jordan Titus (141), Peyton Hall (165), Dennis Robin (184), and Ian Bush (197).

Hall, the 2025 Big 12 Champion at 165 pounds, comes in with a 30-1 record and is seeded the highest of the five Mountaineers, starting as the No. 2 seed in the bracket.

Hall will start his quest to be a three-time All-American against Wisconsinโ€™s Cody Goebel, the No. 31 seed.

Strickenberger earned the No. 6 seed in the 125-pound bracket after winning his first Big 12 Championship this past weekend. He will face No. 27 seed Tristan Daugherty of North Dakota State in the opening round.

Coming off a sixth place finish at the Big 12 Tournament, Titus is a No. 31 seed at 141 pounds. Titus is set to take on Penn Stateโ€™s Beau Bartlett, the No. 2 seed.

Robin, despite dropping both of his matches at the Big 12 Tournament, was selected as an at-large bid and was given the No. 28 seed at 184 pounds. He will take on South Dakota State’s No. 5 seed Bennett Berge.

Bush, the Big 12โ€™s fourth-place finisher at 197-pounds, is the No. 30 seed. He will face on CSU Bakersfield’s AJ Ferrari, the No. 3 seed.

Session one will begin at noon ET on Thursday, March 20 and be televised on ESPNU. Session two will begin at 7 p.m. on ESPN. Session three on Friday, March 21, will begin at noon on ESPNU and session four will start at 8 p.m. on ESPN2. Session five will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 22, on ESPNU and session six will start at 7 p.m. on ESPN.

All sessions will also be live-streamed on ESPN+.
