WVU’s Jackson Wolf Named to Big 12 Baseball All-Tournament Team

West Virginia starting pitcher Jackson Wolf has been named to the Big 12 Baseball All-Tournament Team, the conference announced Sunday night.

Wolf made one start during the tournament, pitching the Mountaineers to an upset victory over No. 1-seed Texas in the first round. Matched up against Big 12 Pitcher of the Year Ty Madden, Wolf threw his first career complete game, allowing just one run on five hits in nine innings of work. He struck out seven and walked five while throwing 138 pitches.

TCU outfielder Porter Brown was named the tournament MVP as the Horned Frogs won the Big 12 Championship by defeating Oklahoma State Sunday afternoon. The entire All-Tournament team is:

  • SS Maui Ahuna – Kansas
  • OF Caeden Trenkle – Oklahoma State
  • SP Justin Campbell – Oklahoma State
  • 1B Zach Zubia – Texas
  • 3B Christian Encarnacion-Strand – Oklahoma State
  • OF Porter Brown – TCU
  • SP Jackson Wolf – West Virginia
  • 2B Gray Rodgers – TCU
  • OF Zach Kokoska – Kansas State
  • DH Hunter Wolfe – TCU
  • RP Eric Torres – Kansas State
