2024 5-Star Big Derik Queen Receives Offer from West Virginia

West Virginia basketball extended an offer to 2024 5-star center Derik Queen on Wednesday night. Queen is from Baltimore, Md. and currently plays at Montverde Academy in Florida.

Queen announced his offer on his Instagram story.

WVU assistant DerMarr Johnson is leading the recruitment for Queen sources tell WV Sports Now. 

Queen (6-foot-9, 220 pounds) is ranked No. 17 in the 2024 class by 247 Sports. Queen has received offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Auburn, DePaul, Florida State, Georgetown, Indiana, Kansas, LSU, Maryland, Oklahoma State, Pitt, Syracuse, Texas, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, Xavier and others.

Queen visited Maryland back in October.
