West Virginia is one of the top six schools for Nicholas Rodriguez, a linebacker recruit with a four-star rating from a major outlet. He revealed his list late Thursday night, including the Mountaineers as a program he is still considering.

Rodriguez (6-foot-2, 210 pounds) is a class of 2024 product out of St. Thomas Aquinas in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He tweeted a graphic to show he’s narrowed down his options to WVU, Louisville, LSU, Miami (FL), Ohio State and Tennessee.

Every school on Rodriguez’s list has been pursuing him for months. WVU sent Rodriguez an offer on January 18. Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Michigan State, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Penn State, Purdue and Pitt are some of the programs Rodriguez was also offered by.

Most national recruiting outlets regard Rodriguez as a three-star player, but ESPN has awarded him four stars. He’s ranked as one of top 100 Florida based players in his class by Rivals, On3.com and ESPN as well.
