2025 five-star Darryn Peterson reacted to WVU picking up Eastern Michigan transfer Noah Farrakhan. Peterson, who is currently the No. 2 recruit in his class, posted the following on his Instagram story.

”West Virginia that move right now🤣,” Peterson wrote.

Peterson (6-foot-5) has received an offer from West Virginia and currently plays at Huntington Prep. Peterson has also received offers from Akron, Arizona State, Arkansas, Baylor, Cleveland State, Indiana, Kentucky, LSU, Maryland, North Carolina, Ohio State, Pitt, St. John’s, Syracuse, Texas, UCLA, Xavier and others. Peterson has visited Ohio State and is originally from Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.

West Virginia picked up Farrakhan on Thursday afternoon, who has two years of eligibility.

Farrakhan appeared in 31 games for the Eagles, averaging 12.1 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.3 assists. Farrakhan shot 43% from the field and 24% from three. He recorded 14 games of 20 points or more during his EMU career. Farrakhan scored 19 points, six rebounds and three assists against Michigan in Nov. 2022.

Sources tell WV Sports Now that Farrakhan needs a waiver to compete in the 2023-24 season. It appears  that West Virginia will get Farrakhan situated for a year and then play him for two years.
