The Mountaineers coaching staff is on a tear right now offering numerous 2020 recruits. The latest offer is 5’11” 190 lb athlete DeAngelo Taylor from Tampa Catholic High School in Florida.

Taylor already has some favorites in his recruitment including West Virginia. Others are Duke, Louisville, Arizona State, Cincinnati, Wake Forest, Rutgers and Buffalo. West Virginia is included early on due to Taylor’s relationship with current wide receiver signee and incoming freshman, Terence Doston.

“I’ve known Terence for about 5-8 years since we’ve played on opposing little league teams, but we played together once. He has told me about the atmosphere, diversity, the campus, education and coaches.” Taylor said. Doston played his final year of high school ball at Tampa Catholic.

Taylor and co-offensive coordinator Chad Scott have talked a few times and are in the process of forming a relationship, “He recruits my area and he also came down to my school. I’ve known him a little bit since he was at North Carolina.” he said.

A trip to Morgantown is in the works and will be set once he is able to squeeze one in that works with his track schedule.
