Just a couple weeks ago the Mountaineers offered class of 2021 athlete Xavier Coleman (5’10” 190 lbs) of Mount Laurel, New Jersey.

This past weekend, Coleman made the trip to Morgantown for an unofficial visit and came away impressed, “I went up there this past Saturday and had a really great time. They (campus & facilities) were both really cool and it was a great atmosphere all around.”

When asked his thoughts on the West Virginia offer he responded, “I was extremely excited about it because of the culture in Morgantown towards WVU football. Also, knowing about all of the great players that have came through the program and having the opportunity to be a part of that is really cool.”

He and co-offensive coordinator Chad Scott have seemed to form a good relationship in the early stages of his recruitment. “We have talked a couple times since I’ve been offered. He’s a great guy and I really appreciate that he wants the best for me.” Coleman stated.

Coleman also holds offers from UMass, Baylor and Temple and said a return trip to Morgantown is a “definite”. He is a dynamic two-way player that has the ability to play on either side of the ball at the next level. He informed me that he will know what West Virginia is recruiting him as within the next few conversations.
