Bills DB Rasul Douglas part of NFL Playoffs

The Bills traded for Rasul Douglas in the middle of the 2023 season, but that doesn’t mean the WVVU product will be calling Buffalo his long term NFL home.

While speaking to reporters at the NFL Combine on Tuesday, Bills GM Brandon Beane said it’s been nice getting to know Douglas, but there’s nothing to report on a possible contract extension yet.

After the trade, Douglas recorded 29 tackles, picked off four passes and forced two fumbles in nine games with the Bills. He was even named the AFC Defensive Player of the Week on Jan. 3 after a big game. Overall, Douglas made 61 tackles during the 2023 season.

The 28-year-old Douglas has spent time with seven different NFL team after being drafted in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft out of WVU. After winning being part of a Super Bowl champion right away with the Eagles, the WVU product has spent time with the Panthers, Raiders, Texans, Cardinals and has been with Green Bay since 2021.

Rasul Douglas has 383 tackles, 74 pass deflections, 19 interceptions, three defensive scores and a sack to this point in his NFL career.
