ESPN bracketologist Joe Lunardi updated his bubble projections on Tuesday morning. Lunardi still has West Virginia in as one of the “last four byes.”

WVU is in the same category with Memphis, Boise State and Auburn.

Bubble watch for WVU:

Auburn at Alabama

Utah State at UNLV

Penn State at Northwestern

On Tuesday, Lunardi released his bracketology projections, putting West Virginia as a 10-seed against Maryland in Sacramento.

Prior to the Iowa State game, Lunardi marked WVU as one of the last teams in the field. West Virginia now has five quad-1 wins. WVU’s NET ranking increased by three spots to No. 23.

The Mountaineers are in prime position to return to the NCAA Tournament as long as they take care of business. First, they will host No. 11 Kansas State at home on Saturday for Senior Day. Then, the Mountaineers will hit the road to travel to Kansas City for the Big 12 Conference Tournament.
