Former WVU 2023 Recruit Cameron Calhoun Commits to Cincinnati

On Tuesday afternoon, 2023 CB Cameron Calhoun committed to Cincinnati. Calhoun de-committed from West Virginia after receiving an offer from the Bearcats two weeks ago.

“I had to get out of Hollywood,” Calhoun wrote on Twitter.

Calhoun (6-foot-2, 175 pounds) currently resides in Cincinnati, playing for Winton Woods High School. The defensive back stays home with a top five recruiting class for the class of 2023. Luke Fickell and his coaching staff will be full prepared for the move to the Big 12 next year.

The 3-star CB received offers from Akron, Ball State, Boston College, Bowling Green, Central Michigan, Duke, Eastern Michigan, Florida A&M, Georgia Tech, Howard, Jackson State, Kentucky, Marshall, Miami (OH), Ohio, Pitt, Purdue, Rutgers, Toledo and Vanderbilt before committing to West Virginia on March 30. WVU defensive coaches Jordan Lesley and ShaDon Brown led the recruitment in Calhoun.

West Virginia currently ranks 23rd in the country for the class of 2023, according to 247 Sports
