West Virginia football received their fifth commitment from the class of 2023, this time in Cameron Calhoun. Calhoun is a cornerback out of Winton Woods High School in Cincinnati.

Calhoun made the announcement on his Twitter account. It seemed like Calhoun was committing to Kentucky, but switched it up and committed to WVU.

Calhoun (6-foot-2, 175 pounds) received offers from Boston College, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Pitt, Vanderbilt and others before committing to West Virginia. WVU defensive coaches Jordan Lesley and ShaDon Brown led the recruitment in Calhoun.

The Cincinnati native is ranked No. 15 in the state of Ohio and has been rated a 3-star prospect by 247 Sports. Calhoun joins Josiah Jackson (CB), Raheim Jeter (QB), Cameron Jackson (DL) and Jahiem White (RB) as the current commits for WVU’s class of 2023.
