Kameron Reddic spent the first two years of his college career with Stephen F. Austin (Division I – FCS), entering the starting lineup at safety during the 2025 season. While the talent level of his competition will surge now that he’s with WVU Football, Reddic has an advantage that could help him manage the switch.
The six foot tall, 192 pound junior has a knack for making big plays in big moments, logging his first career interception in the FCS Quarterfinals against Montana State, the eventual league champion. Some athletes seem to have the clutch gene, an innate ability to rise to the occasion in the most important moments.
If Reddic can show that he’s that type of player, the Mountaineers’ coaching staff will have a hard time keeping him off the field… no matter his bona fides or how the other safeties around him play.

Last Year: Reddic started 13 of 14 games at Stephen F. Austin, making a run to the FCS Quarterfinals.
Stats: 42 tackles (23 solo), four pass breakups, two tackles for loss and an interception.
Post-Camp Outlook: There are nine other safeties who Reddic will need to compete with for playing time.
Projected Role: Reddic should challenge for playing time in 2026, if not as an outright starter then as a reserve.
Accolades, Highlights: Reddic didn’t have any stars next to his name in high school, but his performance at Stephen F. Austin earned him a three-star transfer rating from 247Sports.
