Marquette Transfer F Skylar Forbes Signs With WVU Women’s Basketball
As the WVU women’s basketball program continues to rebuild its roster, Marquette transfer forward Skylar Forbes commits, per On3 Sports. The West Virginia program then announced her signing an hour later.
“Skylar is a versatile and experienced player who has proven herself at a high level,” Kellogg said in a statement. “She impacts the game in multiple ways and is motivated to continue developing. She fits exactly what we’re building here at West Virginia, and we’re excited to add her to our program.”
Forbes, a 6-foot-3 junior, will move to West Virginia after putting up 15.5 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.0 assist and 1.8 blocks per game. She registered 15.8 points and 5.9 boards during the 2024-25 season.
The Ontario, Canada native has been named a member of the All-Big East first team in three years at Marquette. Prior to college, Forbes attended Bond Academy and played for Scarborough Prep in Toronto, Ontario. She averaged 17.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 2.0 blocks and 2.0 steals as a high school senior.
