Marshall Set to Face Southern Miss/Rice Winner Wednesday in C-USA Tournament

The Marshall University men’s basketball team finished as the No. 3 seed from the East Division for this week’s Conference USA tournament in Frisco, Texas, and now the Thundering Herd must wait a few more days to learn it first tournament opponent.

Marshall (15-6, 9-5) will play at 7 p.m. Wednesday against the winner of Tuesday’s Southern Mississippi/Rice preliminary round game. The Thundering Herd, which won six of its last seven regular season games including a weekend sweep of visiting Charlotte, did not play either the Golden Eagles or Owls during the the regular season.

The Herd’s first round game will be streamed live on ESPN+.
