WVU Basketball is heading into Big 12 play this weekend as they travel to No. 3 Houston. The Mountaineers ended non-conference play 5-8 and are without big man Jesse Edwards for about another couple of weeks.

West Virginia recently brought back RaeQuan Battle, Noah Farrakhan and Kerr Kriisa to the floor. The trio is still getting acclimated with each other and the rest of the team but have shown much talent. Battle is averaging 27.3 points through three games while Farrakhan (15.5 ppg) and Kriisa (10.0 ppg, 7.0 apg) are producing well.

The Big 12 has shown to be a gauntlet through recent years. West Virginia will have to finish in the top-half of the conference to return to the NCAA Tournament.
