Purdue Transfer LB Jacob Wahlberg Announces Offer from West Virginia

Published

on

Purdue transfer linebacker Jacob Wahlberg can add West Virginia to the list of offers he’s been receiving since entering the Transfer Portal just a few days ago.

Wahlberg tweeted about the WVU offer on Sunday while also announcing offers from several other major programs. This comes after he sent out a letter to explain his intentions to transfer out of Purdue and find a new school with two years of eligibility.

The Muskegon, Michigan native, who was a three-star recruit out of high school, earned a full season of college playing time for the first time in 2022. He recorded 39 total tackles with 27 of them awarded as solo, a forced fumble and an interception for the Boilermakers.

In addition to the Mountaineers, Wahlberg has offers from Cincinnati, Michigan State and Western Michigan.
