Revised Betting Odds Still Do Not Favor the Mountaineers

Published

on

When the betting odds for the 2020 season originally came out in April, oddsmakers had WVU as a borderline bowl-eligible team.

The over/under for WVU’s wins in its original 12-game schedule was 5.5. With the new 10-game schedule released by the Big 12, new odds have come with it. In its now 10-game schedule, SportsBetting.ag has WVU’s over/under at 4.5, third-lowest in the conference.

WVU has the second-worst over/under, ahead of only Kansas (3). Ahead of WVU is Texas Tech (5), Kansas State (5.5) and TCU (6). Baylor and Iowa State are tied (6) with the leaders of the conference being Oklahoma State (7), Texas (7.5) and Oklahoma (8.5).

Each Big 12 team will play every other conference opponent once this season and can play one non-conference game. WVU’s non-conference game will be against Eastern Kentucky at home on Sept.

In terms of winning the Big 12 Championship, the Mountaineers are favored slightly more. WVU is at +2500 odds, better than Kansas State (+3300), Texas Tech (+6600) and Kansas (+10000).
